Carlo Tasso is Full Professor of Computer Science at the Univeristy of Udine.
In 1984 he founded the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory within the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, where he is currently responsible of several research projects in the area of knowledge-based systems, user modeling, personalization of Web sites and portals, intelligent interfaces for information retrieval and information filtering, application of Artificial Intelligence Techniques on Web 2.0, enterprise information portals for knowledge management, e-learning and information sharing.
He teaches courses on 'Software Engineering', 'Knowledge Engineering and Expert Systems', ‘Management Information Systems’ and ‘Web Personalization’.
Author of more than 165 scientific papers in international journals, conference proceedings, contributed volumes and authored books, he is also program chairman of several scientific conferences and member of the Editorial Board of the User Modeling and User Adapted Interaction Journal.
He has been the head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, President of Computer Science Courses in the Faculty of Sciences, and Scientific Editor of CISM Publications.
He has been the Dean of the Faculty of Science of the University of Udine.

Dario joined the laboratory in 2012, after obtaining his Master Degree in Computer Science at the University of Udine. His resarch focus is on Semantic Technologies for User Modelling and Personalization, however his interests include Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Data analysis as well. Currently he's also holding lectures in the Semantic Web, Software Engineering, and Web Content Personalization courses at the University of Udine.
Marco joined the lab in late 2014 and he's currently interested in the fields of NLP, Machine Learning and Neural Networks. He likes to write software in every programming language, except for Java; unfortunately for him, Java is the language he has to work with. In his free time, he writes apps for his mobile phone, reads book, listens and plays music, and swims.
